Agriculture plays a vital role in many of the emerging nations in our tech driven world. The key building blocks to a healthy and fulfilling life starts with the food you consume. Many countries around the world are heavily invested into agriculture which serves as the biggest employer of the population. This field has significantly improved with the introduction of machinery and automation. We have the ability to grow massive amounts of crops annually but the problem is we cannot properly maintain the shelf life of these crops. This loss is referred to as Post-harvest loss which refers to wastage of cultivated crops after harvest. Today, PHL is as high as 40% in many countries such as Liberia. This loss is due to the lack of infrastructure, best farming practices, proper irrigation methods, cold storage, cold transportation, and sustainable farming models. Global United Diaspora will work to identify these nations in need of improving their Agriculture Value Chain. This “chain” refers to the path the crops travel, starting from the farm to the market/consumer.

Our Agriculture efforts will help communities reach their nutritional needs while allowing them to also be able to sell their cash crops and make a profit. We will promote sustainable and environmentally friendly agriculture and irrigation practices to ensure each farmer is striving to improve their local ecosystem.
