RETURNING TO ONE
AFRO-PHILANTROPIC CONFERENCE
Location: Accra, Ghana
Date: August 6th, 2019
(Day 2 of the HACSA Conference August 5th - 11th)
2019 is a monumental year for Ghana because The President of Ghana, Nana Akufo-Addo invited all people of African-descent to return to Africa and celebrate that return in Ghana, for the ‘Year of Return’. We will be returning to West Africa; the region that many of our ancestors were taken from centuries ago.
This conference will bring together Black and African led NGOs from across the continent of Africa and the global diaspora where we will unify, collaborate, learn from one another and share our resources in order for us to become more impactful in our global communities.
We intend to to change the face of philanthropy in our communities and empower those of us who are striving to change the lives of our people. After the conference the participants of the conference are welcome to join us in completing a variety of service projects around Ghana including:
· Medical and Dental outreach at orphanages and in rural communities
· Updating and improvement of the living quarters and school building of orphanage in Volta region
· Hosting Youth Empowerment/ Sports Camps for Youth
Do you know a impactful individual or NGO that should join our 2019 Afro-Philanthropic Conference? Nominate them below (self nominations are welcome).
